The GK Story
For many years GK Industries, Inc.has partnered with OEMs, integrators and consultants throughout the world. We have lead the way by developing the best digital video recorders and transmission systems available. Our products have been engineered to meet the needs of todays everyday businesses and all risk management personnel. At the same time, we have educated many industry leaders on how to apply digital surveillance solutions. Our DigitalVDO family of digital recorders have come to be what they are through close relations with our clients.
Since the early 90s, end users and security management personnel alike all agreed that digital video solutions seem to offer better reliability and increased flexibility when compared to the traditional analog VCR techniques. The use of MPEG, JPEG, Wavelet and other video compression were early attempts to meet the design criteria and requirements of the surveillance industry in the search for reliable, long-term recording and efficient remote video transmission. Super Motion Image Compression Technology eliminates the drawbacks in file size and frame size exhibited by these compression techniques.
SMICT (Super Motion Image Compression Technology) is a compression technology which utilizes a proprietary DSP chip that can simultaneously compress four channels of full motion video at frame rates of up to 30 fps for months on a single 120GB Hard Drive. This exclusive compression technology allows for unparalleled video compression. The storage capabilities and "network friendly" file sizes of this unit make the possible configurations endless. The Remote Access software allows live or pre-recorded video to be viewed via a phone line or TCP/IP connection from anywhere in the world.
