Super Motion Image Compression Technology (SMICT) is a video compression technology currently positioned at the leading edge in the world.

This proprietary format is designed for digital video recording of surveillance monitor systems. SMICT has a super performance and surpasses todays existing products which use the common compression technology, such as MJPEG, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.261, H.263 or Wavelet. SMICT dramatically reduces the normal redundancy of the original color or gray video to small distortion. Low bit rate with a good image quality makes it possible, to meet the requirement of long recording time in a limited storage space, or to transmit the video pictures through Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) or Local Area Network (LAN).
